At 5:22PM the ECFD as part of the Bergen County Battalion 1 Strike Team was dispatched to Belleville in Essex County to assist with a 10+Alarm fire in multiple large industrial properties.

While still operating in Belleville, at 9:51PM, the ECFD high angle rescue team was requested to The State Line Lookout in Alpine as part of the East Bergen Rappel Team to rescue a victim over the cliffs. That victim was transported via helicopter to Hackensack University Medical in critical condition.

Last night members of the Englewood Cliffs Fire Department conducted a Live Fire Engine Company Operations Practical at the Bergenfield Fire Training Center as part of a multi-class program training program with Technical Fire Services and the Bergenfield Fire Training Center.

This afternoon the ECFD was dispatched to 910 Sylvan Ave for a SUV on fire in the underground parking garage. Due to the size of the building and life-hazard use, a working fire assignment was transmitted, which in addtion to Englewood Cliffs fire units, brought in an Englewood Engine, a Fort Lee Truck, and a Teanafly RIC team.

The fire was placed under control within 20 minutes with no reprorted injuries. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and not considered suspicious.

Englewood Cliffs Units operating on scene were EC-9, EC-8, EC-7, EC-2, EC-1.

A Winter Storm with the potential to cause significant disruptions is forecast to impact the tri-state area beginning Sunday afternoon.

THIS IS A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS STORM!

12-24" of WET HEAVY Snow with snowfall rates of 2-3" per hour, as well as wind gusts of 50MPH are possible.

This could result in power outages, downed trees, and increased potential of roof or structural collapse.

Additionally, the type of wet heavy snow that is forecast is known as "Widow Maker Snow" because of the heavy physical demand it requires for shoveling and removal.

Emergency services will be on duty throughout the course of the storm event.

Keith Wicker is a loving father, husband, son, brother, and friend. For over two decades, he’s proudly served the Englewood Cliffs community as a police officer, and is currently Captain of the Englewood Cliffs Police Department.

Keith is also known for his strength and resilience. He has battled brain cancer for many years and now he's fighting a rare form of blood cancer. True to Wicker form, they haven't asked for any help, but they deserve it.

This GoFundMe was created to ease their burden so Amy and the kids' sole focus can be Keith and his fight against cancer.
