🗣️Important traffic announcement from Principal Young:

As the first day of school approaches, CHS would like to remind students and families of morning traffic flow and afternoon pick up procedures.

A.M. Arrival:
Bus Lanes consist of the first two right lanes.

Parent/Guardian Drop Off is the 3rd lane and must exit to the back of the school building. (Please see map directions.)

Student Drivers will follow the 4th lane to the left. Student drivers only will enter the parking area.

P.M. Pick Up:
Bus Lanes consist of the first two right lanes.

Parent/Guardian Pick Up will follow the two left lanes. All traffic will exit to the back of the school building.(Please see map directions.) Only student drivers will exit the front gate.

Attention CHS Dual Enrollment Students:

🗓️ Mark your calendars! Tennessee Wesleyan University is offering Dual Enrollment Orientation to help you start the semester with confidence!

📚 Orientation is designed to prepare you for success as a dual enrollment student. During the session, you’ll learn about:

✅ The Tennessee Dual Enrollment Grant and payment information (including what costs are covered and when additional payment may be required)
✅ Accessing your TWU student portal, Canvas, and university email
✅ Campus resources and student support services
✅ Expectations for college-level coursework
✅ Important deadlines, policies, and tips for a successful semester
✅ Where to go for help when you need it

Two sessions will be offered, one in-person and one online. Check in for the in-person session will begin at 12:30 p.m. Students will report to the Colloms Campus Center. Check in will take place downstairs, with presentations given upstairs in the Johnson Event Center.

Whether you’re taking classes on our high school campus or at TWU, orientation is an important first step toward a successful college experience. We encourage all dual enrollment students to attend one of these sessions!

Parking permit information for the 26/27 school year:
July 30th:
8:30 -2:00 for seniors and students who had perfect attendance last year

July 31st:
8:30 - 2:00 for anyone else needing a parking permit

You will need the following items in order to purchase a parking permit:
Driver's license
Proof of insurance
$20 (cash only, no cards or checks please)
Vehicle Registration (Attached) must be signed by parent/guardian

Day 1 ✅

We had a great first day of Central Boys Basketball Camp with our K-3rd graders! It was an awesome day of competing, learning, and having fun. Thanks to all our campers, parents, players, and coaches for making today a success!
