The Quirky Quill Writer's Group
Join fellow writers on the first Wednesday of each month for an evening of creativity, imagination, and fun. Bring a composition notebook, pens or pencils, or a laptop, whatever you prefer.

During each session, participants will be given timed writing prompts and challenged to complete their writing within the allotted time. No overthinking, no editing—just writing! When the writing time expires, those who wish to share their work will have the opportunity to read aloud.

One strict rule: NO AI. This is creative writing, and we’re here to exercise our own imaginations and put our brains to work. Whether you’re a seasoned writer or just getting started, come ready to write, laugh, and be inspired.

Travelogues with Jane Mahler: Hawai’i

Join travelogue expert, Jane Mahler as she shares her enthusiasm for exploration while we delve into the wonders of the fiftieth state, Hawai’i. This stunning chain of islands lies over 2,000 miles west of California and ranks among the world’s longest island chains. Hawai’i stands out as the only U.S. state entirely composed of islands, and it is the most isolated island chain on the planet, showcasing breathtaking beauty.

We will explore Oahu, known as The Gathering Place, and Maui, referred to as the Valley Isle, on two of the seven inhabited islands out of the 132 that comprise Hawai’i.
