Leonardo's Children's Museum

Leonardo's Children's Museum Leonardo’s enriches and inspires children of all ages by creating fun learning opportunities. In 1996 Adventure Quest, Enid’s castle opened!

In September 1995, Leonardo’s Children’s Museum opened thanks to our amazing founders Helen Mary Walker Garriott and Owen Garriott, the Enid Arts Council, and countless volunteers. Since then, approximately 70,000-80,000 guests visit every year, making it one of NW OK’s most popular attractions. There is 100+ hands-on activities for children and families to enjoy inside our museum! Much like our n

amesake Leonardo da Vinci, we pride ourselves on being a place where art and science meet and hope to inspire the artists and scientists of the future. It was made possible by 12,000 volunteers and 150,000 volunteer hours! The three-story wooden castle features bridges, slides, swings, mazes, a water table, dinosaur dig, and tot lot. Today, it remains the world’s largest community built outdoor playground. We are open Tuesday-Saturday 11am-6pm. Adventure Quest is always open weather permitting. Guests 15 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult that is 16+. Paid admission is required for everyone over the age of 1. 1 supervisor/adult per 5 children. No child or supervisor/adult is permitted to enter the museum alone due to safety reasons. Leonardo’s is a 501c3 non-profit organization governed by the Enid Arts & Sciences Foundation, volunteer board of directors and of course, operated by a committed staff of employees and volunteers.

🩺🩸 This week at Discovery Camp, we're exploring the world of medicine!

Campers are learning about doctors, hospitals, medical research, healthcare careers, and the amazing science that helps keep us healthy. Our friends from Our Blood Institute will be joining us to teach campers about what blood does, why it's so important, and how blood donations help save lives every day.

Our campers are a little too young to donate blood, but that's where YOU come in! ❤️

One of the best ways we can teach children about helping others is by setting the example ourselves. Donating blood is one of the simplest and most impactful ways to make a real difference for patients in our community.

🕗 Thursday, June 11 | 8:00 AM–11:00 AM

Whether you're a first-time donor or a regular donor, we invite you to stop by and help save lives. Together, we can show our campers what it means to care for our community.

🚛♻️ What a week!

This week at Discovery Camp, we spent our time talking trash... literally! Campers explored the world of waste management, recycling, composting and decomposition, landfills, and even learned about how wastewater is treated (yes, we talked about p**p water 💩💧).

From hands-on experiments and creative art projects, our campers discovered that there’s a lot of science and engineering behind keeping our communities clean and healthy.

Missed out on Week 1? Don't worry! We still have spots available throughout the summer with our flexible week-by-week enrollment. Choose the weeks that fit your family's schedule and join us for more hands-on adventures.

📅 Weekly enrollment available
⏰ Register by Thursday at 5:00 PM for the following week's camp

🎉 Celebrating 10 Years of Service!

The heart and soul of every nonprofit organization are the dedicated people working behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. Today, we are proud to recognize Rhonda Danks for 10 years of service to Leonardo’s Children’s Museum!

Over the past decade, Rhonda has worn many hats, serving in roles from Guest Services to Custodial Care. Keeping a children’s museum clean is no small task with thousands of little hands exploring, creating, and learning every year, but Rhonda approaches it with dedication and care every single day.

Please join us in congratulating Rhonda on this incredible milestone and thanking her for 10 years of helping make Leonardo’s a special place for our community! 💜
