Our 2nd graders in Mrs. Richter’s class were busy learning through centers last week! Students worked on a variety of concepts, including place value and closed syllables words and digraphs.
We love seeing students engaged in hands-on learning while building their skills and working together! 📚✏️

Our students in Mrs. Schultz’s Pre-K class used letter blocks to spell out their names! 🔤

Students practiced identifying letters, finding the correct letters, and putting them in the correct order to build their names. What a great hands-on way to build letter recognition and name-writing skills while making learning fun!

Prior to the start of this activity, the students melted crayons with Mrs. Mora to make the blocks!! 💙

🧁📏 Math in the Real World! 👩‍🍳🍪

We are kicking off our second math chapter, and our career connection for this chapter is… BAKING! 🧁

Today, our second graders had the sweetest opportunity to welcome Mrs. Tebow into our classroom! 👩‍🍳 She talked with our students about what it’s like to be a baker and, most importantly, how math is used every single day in the baking world.

Our students learned how important it is to measure accurately, read recipes, follow directions, and use math skills to create delicious treats! 📏➕📖

A huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Tebow for taking the time to come talk with the second graders at Prairie View today and helping us connect what we are learning in math to a real-world career! 💛

What a fun way to bring our learning to life! 🍪

Dr. Darrow presented Mrs. Price with a District Coin today in recognition of her willingness to step up when Prairie View needed her most. ❤️

With less than 24 hours’ notice, Mrs. Price moved from 2nd grade to 4th grade the day before our official first day of school. She recognized a need and, without hesitation or complaint, stepped up to make sure our students were taken care of.

We are incredibly thankful for Mrs. Price and her willingness to always put the needs of Prairie View Elementary students first. We are so lucky to have her on our team! 💙🦬

Hello Parents and Guardians!

🥛 🥞 With our new 7:20 AM breakfast opening, we were able to get 83 students through the line in just the first 10 minutes! This drastically reduced the number of students still eating after 7:50 AM. What a success!

A Quick Morning Drop-Off Reminder:

🚗 🛻 To keep our morning traffic flowing smoothly and safely, please make sure to drop off students at the back of the building only. The west side parking lot is reserved exclusively for morning Daycare drop-off. Please do not drop off on this side or park on this side to walk your child up to the doors. By following this expectation, you are helping to ensure that the flow of traffic remains steady and flowing in all areas.
