Here's an update to the wellhouse repair. Please share with friends and neighbors.

Replacement of the control panel is estimated to take 2 weeks. While the main well is able to meet normal household demand, we are asking residents to help us conserve water by not irrigating and using water conservation methods while the repair happens.

Please share will neighbors and friends! Thank you.

We have received several questions regarding what Stage II water restrictions mean.

For a complete explanation of all stages of water restrictions, including the requirements and restrictions associated with each stage, please refer to the Town of Ennis Municipal Code.

Thank you for helping conserve our community’s water supply and for your cooperation.

Stage II means:
Voluntary restrictions
Residents and businesses are encouraged to conserve water.
The Town is asking people to limit non-essential water use, such as excessive lawn watering, washing vehicles, filling pools, etc.
Because it says “voluntary,” residents generally are not being prohibited from using water for those activities unless another part of the ordinance specifies otherwise.
No bulk water sales
The Town will not sell large quantities of water for customers to haul away.
For example, the Town would not sell bulk water to someone filling a water truck, hauling water to a tank, or transporting Town water to another location.
Regular residential and commercial water service through the Town's water system would continue.

So, essentially: Stage II is a conservation warning/effort—the Town is asking everyone to voluntarily reduce water consumption, while also stopping bulk water sales to preserve the available water supply.
