We’re excited to host two environmental stewardship events in June, and we’d love to have you join us.

🚲 Saturday, June 13, 2026 | 8 AM – 12 PM
Downtown Ennis Bluebonnet Market Litter Pickup + Bike Repair Booth
Help us pick up litter at the market while supporting our board member hosting the Red, White & Bike Parade Repair Booth!

🎆 Saturday, June 27, 2026 | 6 PM – 11 PM
The City of Ennis, Freedom Fest at Veterans Memorial needs
volunteers to help keep the park clean before, during, and after the Independence Day celebration.

💚 Volunteer Perks
Everyone who volunteers at least one full hour will receive one of our brand‑new Jewel Green or Eucalyptus Blue Keep Ennis Beautiful t‑shirts (limited sizes, colors, and quantities).

🌟 Friendly reminder: Please sign up in advance.

In observance of Memorial Day, all City offices are closed on Monday, May 25, 2026.

🗑️ Trash Reminder: There will be no trash service on Monday. If your regular pickup falls on Monday, you may set out 3 extra bags on your next scheduled collection day.

Our Keep Ennis Beautiful Super Hero is officially headed to the National Polka Festival! 🎶✨

He’s got one important message for all our visitors, neighbors, and polka‑lovin’ friends:

👉 Please help keep downtown beautiful by tossing your trash in the barrels placed all around the festival!

Our City of Ennis, Public Works & Parks will team gladly take care of the full barrels at the end of each day so the celebration can stay clean! 🗑️💥

Let’s keep Ennis clean, festive, and ready to Polka the weekend away! 💃🪗

The award was announced May 14 during the 2026 Keep Texas Beautiful Conference and celebrates communities that show exceptional leadership in beautification, litter prevention, waste reduction, and community engagement 🌿♻️✨.

Keep Ennis Beautiful was recognized for its strong culture of volunteerism, environmental stewardship, and community pride, all rooted in the city’s beloved Bluebonnet Spirit 💙🌼

Updated Recycling Center Operation Hours

♻️ IMPORTANT UPDATE – RECYCLING CENTER HOURS

Effective this week, the City of Ennis Recycling Center will now be open Wednesdays only until further notice. This is a temporary schedule adjustment, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this change.

Lunch Closure: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
