🚒 Meet the Crew Monday!

This week we’re introducing Volunteer Firefighter Tyler Henderson!

Tyler is from Fairview, Alabama, and works at Pratt & Whitney Columbus Jet Engine Center. When he’s not on the job or serving the community with Goodman Volunteer Fire Department, you’ll usually find him outdoors.

In his free time, Tyler enjoys duck hunting, deer hunting, turkey hunting, fishing, riding ATVs, and spending time on the river with friends in his boat. Whether it’s in the woods, on the water, or answering the call to serve, Tyler brings dedication and hard work to everything he does.

This past Saturday, Goodman Volunteer Fire Department had the opportunity to stop by the Goodman Baptist Church Youth Car Wash!

There’s nothing better than seeing kids having fun, learning about the fire trucks, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. We had a blast interacting with everyone and enjoying a great day together.

Thank you to Goodman Baptist Church for all the hard work and to everyone who came out to support the youth. We are grateful for every chance we get to be part of this amazing community and serve the people who make Goodman feel like home. ❤️🚒

Say hello to Lt. Christian Gilmore!

When Lt. Christian Gilmore isn’t answering calls with Goodman Volunteer Fire Department, he’s spending quality time with his son, enjoying hunting and fishing, and hanging out with the guys at the station.

Lt. Gilmore also works for the City of Enterprise and says one of his favorite parts of the job is getting the chance to meet and connect with the people of the Goodman community.

We’re proud to have dedicated members like Christian serving our department and community every day! 👏🔥

⚠️ The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory on May 25 for Coffee County.
..FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Alabama, including the following
counties, Coffee, Dale and Geneva.

* WHEN...Until 845 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 646 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.2 and 0.7 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Daleville, Elba, Enterprise, Fort Rucker, Ozark, Level
Plains, New Brockton, Ariton, Lee, Clayhatchee, Kinston,
Clintonville, Richburg, Camp Alaflo Bsa, Woodland Grove
Church, Tabernacle, Shell Army Field, Mixons Crossroads, Camp
Humming Hills and Turner Crossroads.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
