Oregon Businesses Encouraged to Report Wildfire and Smoke Impacts

Oregon businesses experiencing physical damage or economic losses from wildfires or wildfire smoke are encouraged to complete the Oregon Business Self-Reporting Damage Survey.

Businesses should report impacts such as:

Physical property damage
Temporary closures
Reduced customer traffic
Canceled events or activities
Lost revenue
Other wildfire- or smoke-related disruptions

Businesses are encouraged to participate even if they did not sustain direct fire damage. Survey results will help state partners assess the scope of the 2026 wildfire season, guide recovery planning, identify potential resources, and determine whether affected areas may qualify for U.S. Small Business Administration Economic Injury Disaster Loans.

Completing the survey is not an application for assistance, does not guarantee funding, and does not initiate an insurance claim. Businesses should continue working directly with their insurance providers regarding claims.

Every report helps Oregon document the broader economic impact of wildfires and smoke and may strengthen the case for additional disaster assistance.
