Snap, Crackle, and Pop stopped by Sunrise to remind everyone that tomorrow, Friday, May 15th, is the LAST day to donate cereal boxes for our domino challenge!

Our students have worked incredibly hard planning, organizing, and advertising this amazing service project. All cereal boxes collected will be donated to Plateau Outreach Ministries.

We are so proud of our students for finding ways to give back to the community that gives so much to us. Let’s finish strong, Sunrise Family!

Each finalist will spend a full day meeting with principals, student leaders, staff, union representatives, and district leaders, as well as touring schools and district facilities. The community is invited and encouraged to attend the finalist public forums:

You may have noticed during drop-off or pick-up that we have a new Little Free Library that has been installed along the front walkway of our school.

Eagle Scout Carson Aaby led the charge to plan, design, and install this for us as his Eagle Scout project.

Feel free to borrow or swap books whenever you like!

We are so grateful for this fun new way to keep kids engaged in reading.

It's not too late to donate! We are still collecting boxes of cereal next week to create an EPIC domino run through our school halls! Once all the boxes are lined up, we'll knock them down in one amazing chain reaction!

All cereal boxes will be donated to help families in need in our community. Together we can make a BIG difference!

Donations can be dropped off anytime in the main office, in Grand Central, or sent in with your students.

MeeMaw Mondays are in full swing here at Sunrise! 4th & 5th grade students have been meeting in the Hope Room during recess on Mondays and are enjoying learining the new skill of crocheting from parent and staff volunteers.

Things got a little wet at Sunrise Elementary today… or so the students thought! 😄

During our “flood drill,” students sprang into action by rolling up their pant legs to stay dry and climbing on top of their chairs to escape the rising “waters.”

Good news: no socks were harmed, no classrooms were flooded, and the only thing rising was the laughter.

Our very own Ms. Lisa Norris shared part of the book she authored with students during our PTO Read-a-Thon assembly. We are incredibly grateful for the amazing educators at Sunrise who share their passions and talents with students each and every day. 💛

Her book, Skippy the Squirrel Dog, is available in our school library, and we will have copies available to win at our Family Reading Night on Thursday, March 5th at 6:00 PM!

All District Choral Festival Rescheduled to Tuesday, March 3rd:

Dear ESD Families,

The Enumclaw School District All District Choral Festival must be moved from its original date, Tuesday, February 24th, to the following Tuesday, March 3rd. We are having to make this date change due to our boys varsity basketball team needing to host a finals game. They have worked hard to earn this high seeding within their rankings, and we have tried to work with the WIAA and all building Administrations to find a different solution. However, the only option is to utilize the gym for the basketball game on the 24th, which moves our concert event to the following Tuesday, March 3rd.

All of your students' music teachers are informed and they will be letting your students know when they see them. Please feel free to inform them early as well.

All times of arrival and start time are all going to be the same.

We know this is an inconvenience, but it is also a celebration of how wonderful the sports and music activities are here at Enumclaw.

We look forward to seeing you on March 3rd, and we thank you for your continued support and patience.
