Eolia Community Fire Protection District

Eolia Community Fire Protection District Eolia Community Fire Protection District serves an area of approximately 100 square miles.

We have stations in Eolia and Whiteside which together house 12 pieces of apparatus. We have approximately 20 Firefighter/First Responders that serve the community The Eolia Community Fire Protection District covers 100 square miles of south - central Pike and North - central Lincoln Counties in Missouri. The area is a mostly rural agricultural area with small bedroom communities. We serve the com

munities of Eolia, Whiteside, Edgewood, and the surrounding community. We are also second due to the surrounding communities of Cyrene, Paynesville, Calumet, Louisville, Silex, Bowling Green, Clarksville, Annada, and parts of Elsberry. The Eolia Community Fire Protection District is NOT supported by a property or sales tax as most districts are (of all districts covering Pike and Lincoln Counties, only Eolia Community, is now not tax supported.) Operation of the District is provided under agreement by the Eolia Community Fire Department which both operate as one unit under the same board of directors.

Our fire department has been engaged in researching its history and we are compiling a tribute to honor our past chiefs. Based on the original meeting minutes from 1964 to 1981, we have gathered the following information but require assistance in verifying certain dates.
