The Ephrata Lions Club was proud to support the 49th Annual Ephrata Firecracker 5-Mile Run by staffing a water station at the Ephrata Recreation Center in partnership with the Ephrata War Memorial Association.

With temperatures soaring, runners appreciated every cup of cold water and every word of encouragement along the course. Thank you to our dedicated Lions who spent their Independence Day morning helping participants stay hydrated and safe. We’re grateful to be part of a community that comes together to support this longstanding Ephrata tradition.

Another devoted Lion in our club passed away. Our condolences go out to the friends and Family of Tony Kilkuskie.

One of the best meetings of the year took place last night!

After 12 months of fundraising, volunteering, and working together to support our community, we had the privilege of distributing the funds we’ve raised to the organizations that make such a difference in the lives of others.

Representatives from many local organizations we support joined us to share how they are serving our community and how our contributions help advance their missions. Hearing their stories and learning about the impact they are making is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.

The generosity of our members, supporters, sponsors, and community partners makes this possible. It is inspiring to see the collective impact that can be achieved when people come together with a shared commitment to service.

Thank you to all of the organizations that joined us last night and for the important work you do every day. We are proud to support your efforts and look forward to another year of serving the Ephrata community.

While Lion Kendra and Lion Greg were on vacation they enlisted the help of their granddaughter Adalyn to take care of the clubs mascot Lion. She did a great job and was rewarded with a Nestle Lion candy bar!
