Fire resources are deployed all over the US. Level 5 indicates resources are scarce for another large fire event.
Grant County has been busy, but has avoided large fires through the last week.
Please be careful, check your tow chains, don’t cut brush during high heat/high wind events.

FIRE DANGER - US: the National Preparedness Level is now at 5. This is the highest level indicating national resources are now heavily committed in action against wildland fire activity. NWCC including Washington State is likewise at PL5.

✔ Check for burn bans! This may not be the time to start campfires.
✔ Maintain your vehicle and tow safely. Watch for dragging chains.
✔ Don’t park on dry grass.
✔ Practice fire-safe target shooting.
