🌳 Good morning, Epping residents! 🌳

Heads up, tree-huggers and tire-huggers alike! High Street is getting a bit of a makeover today as we say goodbye to some dead ash trees between Pike St. and Elm St. We’re giving them the old heave-ho, so if you can, take the scenic route (or just avoid the area entirely).

Meanwhile, Main Street south of Elm St. is also getting the tree spa treatment. Our fearless tree crew will be working their leafy magic as quickly (and safely!) as possible to keep traffic jams to a minimum.

Thanks for your patience as we clean up Epping’s tree-laden landscape! Let’s keep the traffic flowing and the sawdust flying! 🌳✂️🪵

The Epping Highway Department was proud to take part in this year’s Epping Memorial Day parade by driving our trucks in honor of those who have served in the Armed Forces.

This event holds a special place in the heart of our community. It’s a time to remember and pay tribute to the brave men and women who have protected our freedoms, and to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day.

To our veterans—thank you for your service and sacrifice. And to the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of this great nation, we offer our deepest gratitude and prayers. Your loved ones will never be forgotten, and your sacrifice is felt by all of us.

God bless America.

The Epping Highway Department has started street sweeping today and will go on for the next week. If you see the guys out there sweeping give them a wave! The sweeper moves slow to make sure the streets of Epping are nice and clean!

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing community for your patience, courtesy, and impressive ability to navigate orange cones like seasoned NASCAR drivers during today’s emergency culvert repairs.

We know it wasn’t the most scenic detour (unless you really enjoy looking at backhoes and piles of gravel), but your support helped us fix a big underground mess before it turned into an above-ground disaster. Think of it as a surprise episode of This Old Drainpipe.

Thanks again for bearing with us as we got things flowing again — literally.

Stay safe, stay dry, and remember: we’re always just one rainstorm away from becoming your favorite crew in reflective vests.

We’d like to remind everyone that the speed limit is 25 MPH on Jeness Road. For your safety and the safety of our crews, please drive slowly and cautiously through the area.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as our Public Works employees work to address the issue as quickly and safely as possible.

Pothole Repaired – Maple St (Fecteau Rd)

Yesterday, our crew patched a large pothole next to the Post Office on Maple Street (Fecteau Road). We know how frustrating and damaging these can be, so we made it a priority to get it taken care of quickly and safely.

Thank you to everyone who drove cautiously around the area while we worked. As always, if you spot any road issues, don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re here to keep things running smoothly!
