We have a new town policy. It is required to have a new driveway permit to pave an existing driveway. There isn't a charge for this permit. It is so the Road Agent can make sure that a driveway is properly constructed, especially where it joins a town rd . A resident can get a permit by contacting me or one can be obtained at the town office.

EDIT: the town is requiring a permit so that residents will properly transition their pavement at the rd. edge.There have been a few that are not done properly and creating a water issue on a town rd. I don't want to tell anyone that their driveway was not done properly and have to have it redone. We have driveway policy plans that need to be followed to avoid any damage to a town rd.

The roadside mowers are still out. Please give them room to work when you come onto them.

Roadside mowers are going to be working in town for the next week. If you come upon them, please give them room and be patient. On the narrower rds, they do take up quite a bit of room.

When you see this sign. It typically means we are in the rd working. Please slow down for us. Driving by us at high rates of speed in unacceptable. We want to go home to our families at the end of the day.

Construction crews are out every day improving New Hampshire’s roads and bridges for all of us here in the Granite State. Help protect them by slowing down, following posted speeds, and staying focused behind the wheel.
Work zones are temporary. The impact of a crash is not.

There is not a permit requirement to pave a driveway. But, there are certain requirements for the grades and elevations that need to be followed. If you're going to pave your driveway please call me so that we can make sure that it's done properly. I don't like telling residents that they have to redo what was done.
