Lake Ericson Events At the Gateway to the Sandhills in Ericson, Nebraska, Lake Ericson and the surrounding area offers the finest sandhills beauty to be found.

The serenity of nature at Lake Ericson offers lazy afternoon strolls, exciting fishing expeditions, some of the best waterfowl hunting as well as spectacular monitoring of Bald Eagles, Blue Herons, Whooping Cranes, and River Otter. An old carousel was converted to a picnic shelter many years ago, and marks the entry to the lake. The lake offers a boat ramp which allows all types of boats and ponto

ons. Lake Ericson is a NO-WAKE lake. The lake has an excellent beach and swimming area. On the south end of the lake is the dam. In the area of the dam are various fishing holes that are always producing some of the largest fish caught in the state. Additionally, the lake hosts a handicapped fishing access dock and several new picnic and camping areas. We welcome you to check out this site for more details. Ericson Lake offers.. Camping- Updated pads with water and electricity, grills and fire rings. Fishing- Great fishing from the lake, or below the dam. Swimming- A neat swimming area with a sandy beach for castles.

Despite a rain delay and nearly 3 inches of rain, the Ericson Lake 5K Fun Run was a great success! Once the clouds cleared, 75 runners and walkers came out to enjoy the sunshine and make their way around the laAke. Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and helped make the event a fun and memorable day. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you again next year!

For the safety of our runners & walkers anybody at Lake Ericson please try to refrain from driving on the roads from 8:30-10:00 am tomorrow morning as we have numerous runners and walkers partaking in our 5k fun run.
Entrance A & C will be closed during the run and volunteers will direct any must traffic.
