Registration is open! Gather your colleagues, friends, and family and join us for 6 weeks of daily movement and a chance to win grand prizes and the Step It Up Erie County traveling trophy!

Free and open to all Erie County residents. Although you must be 18+ to register and compete, families are still highly encouraged to include children in physical activities and community events!

A portion of Footmill Road is scheduled to be closed beginning August 24, 2026.

As part of the Old Dominion Project, Footmill Road is scheduled to be closed starting on August 24th for reconstruction. The portion of Footmill Road from Pennbriar Drive along the Old Dominion site will be reconstructed and widened to accommodate the future truck traffic to the site.

Erie County Department of Planning & Development is hosting the first of four Community Housing Open House meetings as part of the update to Erie County’s Comprehensive Housing Strategy.

We’re inviting all Erie County residents to join us and share their perspectives on local housing challenges, preferences, and needs. These sessions are designed to be open, interactive, and engaging with no formal presentation, just hands-on activities and conversations facilitated by our consulting team at TPMA.

Your input will help shape housing efforts across the County.
Stop by, participate, and make your voice part of the future of Erie County’s housing strategy.

🚧🛝 Picnicana Park Playground Renovations
Exciting improvements are coming to the Picnicana Park playground!
Renovations are scheduled to begin on Monday, August 3rd. The playground will be closed for the remainder of the 2026 season while work is underway.
In the meantime, the smaller playground at Community Park (located to the south of the municipal building off Old French Road) will remain open for families to enjoy.
As part of the project, some playground equipment from Picnicana Park will also be relocated to Community Park.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our parks. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to a refreshed playground next year!
This project is made possible with financial assistance from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
