(9/4 Update #2 - with photos) NO CHANGE TO CLOSURE THROUGH 9/6.
Just a few photos our team snapped as they're hard at work cleaning up the park after the storm earlier this week. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to clear the damage and make sure reopening is safe for our visitors.
ATTENTION: Presque Isle State Park will continue to be closed today, September 4, with anticipated closure through Sunday, September 6, 2026.
In addition to pedestrian access, the park closure includes access by vehicle, bicycle, boat beaching, and mooring.
Following severe storms earlier this week, the entire park is without power, and park maintenance crews continue cleanup efforts to remove a large number of downed trees while preparing areas for power pole and line repairs.
The Tom Ridge Environmental Center and Erie Bluff’s State Park remain open to visitors for the holiday weekend.
Park staff are monitoring the situation, and updates can be found on the DCNR website, here on the park’s page, or by calling the Presque Isle State Park Office at 814-833-7424.
