Slightly below normal temperatures are expected for today and Saturday, with highs topping out in the middle 80s.

Happy rainy Thursday morning. Today's high will be in the 70's with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Have a great Thursday.

High temperatures ranging from the middle 70s to the middle 80s are forecast across the Sunflower State today. The best chances for showers and storms will primarily reside over south central and southeast Kansas.

Happy wonderful Wednesday! Today is going to be hot and humid with heat indices in the 100s 🥵. Stay hydrated and take lots of breaks if you are out in the elements. We have a severe weather chance this evening, so please stay weather-aware. Have a fantastic day!

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop over southeast Kansas mainly after 4pm. A few of the storms could become severe and capable of producing hail up to golf ball size, damaging winds of 60-70mph, and locally heavy rainfall.

Happy Tuesday morning! Today's highs will be in the 80's with scattered showers throughout the day. Looking ahead to tomorrow, it is another weather alert day with chances for severe weather in our area. Stay weather-aware and have a wonderful Tuesday.

Warmer today with chances of showers and storms over southeast Kansas this afternoon and evening. Hot and humid with chances of severe storms in southeast Kansas on Wednesday. Storms again Thursday morning followed by dry weather on Friday.

Happy Monday! Today's highs will be in the 80s with partially cloudy skies. Have a wonderful Monday.

Mild temperatures today will give way to hot and humid conditions on Wednesday. Chances for storms will return to southeast Kansas for Tuesday afternoon and night. Better chances for storms across the region arrives Wednesday night. Some of the storms could become severe.

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Southeastern Wilson County in southeastern Kansas...
Labette County in southeastern Kansas...
Southern Neosho County in southeastern Kansas...
Montgomery County in southeastern Kansas...

* Until 1130 PM CDT.

* At 1020 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles north of Mccune to Elk City, moving
southeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated. This line of storms has a history of
producing winds greater than 60 mph.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
Parsons, Coffeyville, Independence, Neodesha, Cherryvale, Caney,
Oswego, Chetopa, Altamont, St. Paul, Edna, Dearing, Mound Valley,
Elk City, Tyro, Galesburg, Liberty, Havana, Bolton, and Sycamore.
