Gannon University's Nash Library & Student Learning Commons

Gannon University's Nash Library The Msgr. Wilfrid J. Nash Library’s collections contain over 180,000 book volumes and more than 4000 audiovisual items.

Nash Library provides resources, services, facilities, and instructional programs in support of the University curricula and the scholarly needs and interests of the Gannon community. Special collections include the University Archives and a curriculum library to serve those in the School of Education. The library subscribes to 300 periodicals and provides online access to over 58,000 more. The li

brary’s website provides access to the online catalog, online indexes and databases, and electronic book and full-text electronic journal collections. Interlibrary loan service is available to request items not owned by Nash Library. Additionally, reference service and information literacy instruction are integral components of the library’s educational mission. The library is open 97 hours per week during the Fall and Spring semesters and provides a variety of spaces for study including tables, lounge-type furniture, and private study carrels. There are several computer workstations – all with access to library resources. The full Microsoft Office productivity suite is available at all of these computers. The entire library is covered by Gannon’s wireless network.

On Friday, the student employees traded shelf reading for clay creations. A little crafting, a lot of laughs, and the perfect time to appreciate them before finals weeks. Grateful for this crew 🫶

📸 from the Archives - Women’s sports made their debut at during the 1974-1975 academic year with no budget, no coaches, and no formal recruitment. Joy Sweeting of Student Services recruited student volunteers to be coaches and brought volleyball, basketball, softball, and tennis to the women of Gannon during her first year.
