๐ Join our community in recognizing International Overdose Awareness Day.
On August 31, the ECDA Regional Recovery Hub will bring together individuals, families, advocates, and community partners for an evening dedicated to remembrance, awareness, connection, and hope. International Overdose Awareness Day is an opportunity to honor the lives lost to overdose, support those impacted, and continue working together to end stigma surrounding substance use and recovery.
We are especially proud of Christiana Hall, Certified Nursing Assistant at LECOM Nursing and Rehabilitation, who is helping organize this meaningful event. As a person in long-term recovery, Christiana brings her passion for helping others far beyond the care she provides to our residents. Through advocacy, volunteer service, peer support, and community outreach, she works to connect individuals and families with recovery resources and remind others that recovery is possible.
In Christianaโs words: โRecovery gave me my life back. Today, I strive to give hope away as freely as it was given to me.โ
