The Erie County Conservation District (ECCD)
is an educational leader in addressing environmental concerns. We provide assistance to Erie County citizens for wise use, agricultural management, and development of our natural resources by addressing conservation issues through environmental education and outreach.

Our summer intern, Ellyse, has spent part of her summer gathering information for the community about where we can find eco-friendly alternatives to plastic, single-use items.
In addition to bringing your own bags when shopping, and using a reusable water bottle, there are other ways to find items you need locally without also buying the extra, unnecessary packaging.

Explore Camp day 3 - a hybrid of Forestry and Aquatics! We chose to take advantage of the amazing weather and enjoy our Creek Walk this afternoon, after a visit from DCNR Forestry in the morning. And yes, we've begun our annual cardboard boat building :)
