🧩✨ CALLING ALL PUZZLERS! ✨🧩

We've got a NEW puzzle set up at the library and we need YOUR help to crack it: Big Rock City by the Magic Puzzle Company — 1,000 gloriously chaotic pieces of dinosaurs, water slides, tiny worlds, and who-knows-what-else. 🦖🌴🎢

But here's the thing... 👀 this is no ordinary puzzle. It's a "Tiny Worlds" puzzle, which means it does some kind of MAGIC TRICK when you finish it. 🪄 And we don't know what it is. We have no idea what's waiting for us at the end. 😳

So come be part of the mystery! 🕵️‍♀️ Stop in, find a few pieces, and help us inch closer to whatever surprise this thing is hiding. Stay five minutes or five hours — every piece gets us closer to the big reveal! 🧩💛

Here's the deal: read the book, then grab the map and hit our ¾-mile route. At each of the 8 QR stops you'll get a question about the story to chat over (and maybe a silly little challenge or two 🤫). Free, self-guided, and available anytime — the library closes, but Book Walk never does! ⏰

Join us Saturday, September 5 from 11:30 AM–1:00 PM at the library for our monthly feast of good food and good company! 😋

This month we're cooking from the Fix-It and Forget-It Big Cookbook — slow-cooker magic at its finest! 🥘 Pick a recipe, make it at home, and bring it to share. Then we all dig in, swap notes, and eat gloriously well together. 💛

Here's what's already on the menu:

🥩 BBQ Roast Beef

The Erie Public Library is offering FREE, one-on-one résumé help at three times this week:

🗓️ Friday, Aug. 28: 1:00–3:00 PM
🗓️ Saturday, Aug. 29: 9:00–11:00 AM
🗓️ Monday, Aug. 31: 5:30–7:30 PM

Whether you're updating an old résumé or starting from scratch, we'll sit down with you and help you build something you're proud to send out. ✨

✅ Appointments are welcome but NOT required - you can walk right in. To reserve a spot, email 📧 [email protected].

We've recently had a request for a Smartphone Class. If you know of anyone that would be a great instructor to help our patrons get comfortable with their smartphone (calling, texting, taking photos, changing settings, and downloading apps), please send us their name, tag them, or just gently nag them (we said GENTLY!).

Our goal is always to help our community and we can't do it without help. So let us know of any phone geniuses that would be great at helping people get comfortable with their smartphones. THANK YOU!
