The Presque Isle Gateway District continues to move forward, and this new signage acknowledges the transformation taking place right here in Millcreek. The sign highlights the funding assistance of various partners, including $3.5 million in Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) from the Office of the Governor of Pennsylvania. This amount was awarded back in 2023 and now with the development underway, the funds are being utilized for right of way improvements to West 8th Street to improve the streetscape.

Drink plenty of water, limit outdoor activity during the hottest hours of the day, wear lightweight clothing, and never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle. Be sure to check in on older adults, neighbors, and anyone who may be be more vulnerable to extreme heat.

Millcreek Township is in a very healthy financial position. The 2024 Budget Report shows that the township is only expending 84.1% of its revenue, which a metric that corresponds to responsible budgetary management.

A thoughtful, competitive process led to a confident decision.

Following five RFQ submissions and two detailed RFP proposals, the Millcreek Township General Authority conducted a rigorous evaluation focused on taxpayer responsibility, proven project experience, financial capacity, and vision for the Gateway District. Both finalists presented strong concepts, and we’re grateful for the effort and innovation each team brought forward.

In the end, Millcreek Momentum, LLC was selected for its demonstrated experience and financial strength—positioning the project, and our community, for long-term success.
