Houston Co Lions Club hosted a contribution/gift benefit gathering for the Vanderbilt Monroe Caroll Jr Pediatric Cancer Unit, along with the Humphreys Co, Dickson Co, and Montgomery Co Lions Clubs on Tuesday evening. Megan Cleghern Mitchell, nurse practitioner, graciously accepted $2,400 gift cards to assist parents with gas/food and hand crocheted and knitted hats/lap blankets and toys/stuffed animals to be added to the children’s gift bags. Houston Co Lions President Doug Simons, along with Pat Lischke (Waverly), Debbie Mashburn (Clarksville Queen City), Patrick Scott (Dickson) made the presentation to Mrs. Mitchell at the Veterans Center in Tn Ridge. We thank everyone for contributing to this worthy cause! Also great entertainment by Lions Bill and Todd!

Houston County Lions Club is proud to share that they conducted a Titmus Vision screening at TRES. 35 children had referrals to have their vision checked by eye doctors according to the test results.
