Corine Pitts, Re-Elect for Erlanger City Council I proudly sat on Erlanger City Council from 2007 - 2021. I believe in working with everyone & local Government transparency

After 5 years away, I'm returning renewed, stronger & ready serve our citizens, while supporting our 1st responders & city staff! After 5 years away, I'm returning renewed, stronger and ready serve our citizens, while supporting our 1st responders and city staff! I believe in transparency, respect and working together, even when we disagree. I have, and will always speak up when someone is silenc

ed or disrespected for a differing opinion. My focus is on our residents everyday needs, such as: looking into the possibility of lowering our insurance premium taxes, improving roads, public safety, retaining employees/1st responders and fiscal responsibility. Some longtime ongoing priorities include Stevenson Road, a Narrows sidewalk, and continuing to address the semi traffic in Cherry Hill. I look forward to serving alongside both current and new members of council in 2027

There is something pretty special about finding your tribe. ❤️ The people who show up, make you laugh, and give hugs when you need them. No matter what, they always have your back. Love our fun runs & pics followed by coffee and just making memories with great friends ☺️.
This is just a little more about who I am. Next week I'll start posting segments of my platform for city council.
(Disclaimer. I have a great family, but they are much happier totally staying out of politics lol)

Fun post, throw back 25ish years ago. We played sand volleyball every Friday night at Silverlake park for many years. People would just show up, some we knew some we didn't, we all just rotated in and had a blast while the kids played on the playground equipment right next to the court. Those were great memories. Sometimes we would change things up & keep score via roman numerals or different languages, always a good laugh. Fun fact Councilman TJ Cahill was referred to as "The human rain delay" 🤣
None of us were on Council yet and Kathy Cahill, was the park director at the time. She had great kids programs, that my kids cherished. She also had a few adult theme programs like some fun amazing races etc... but one year she also sent us to represent Erlanger in the Edgewood 4th of July sand volleyball tournament. Little did we know we played all day long, kept winning and this group of misfits won the whole dang thing! And yes we made all of our opponents laugh. Thought I would share something fun, and love that Kathy's park programs have continued for future generations of kids & adults to enjoy

As someone campaigning on local government transparency, I feel it’s important to be open with you all today.
I love our parks and want to see them thrive. I’m not anti-park. I just simply believe the city needs to be careful not to bite off more than it can chew, especially when there are legitimate questions that need clear answers first.
That’s why I submitted an open records request on July 27th regarding Eons Park. I asked for any emails or environmental studies that may have been conducted. I made this request on my own because residents have shared concerns with me about odors near the creek and possible sewage related issues in the area.
After not receiving a response within the standard 5 business days, I followed up. On August 3rd, I was informed that the process could take a few weeks and that I would be kept updated. On August 17th, City Attorney Gatlin emailed to let me know the paralegal returns from vacation on the 18th and that I should receive the records this week. These requests seemed to move a bit more quickly when they were handled by the city clerk’s staff rather than being outsourced to the City Attorney’s office for a monthly fee. I’m sure their office already has plenty to manage. Either way, it has now been nearly four weeks since my original request.
Once I do receive them, I will carefully review the information and will gladly share it with current council members so they do not have to submit duplicate requests.
Just wanted to keep everyone in the loop.

A year ago our City lost a legend 💔. Patty loved her city & served it well & was my mentor 😊. Her sisters gave me this necklace at her funeral & if I earn my seat back on Council this fall, this necklace will join me at my seat. Feel free to share any fond & or fun memories you may have of Patty today as a tribute to the firecracker with a heart of gold, that we had the privilege to know❤️

A class was given tonight for candidates running for election by Gabrielle Summe, our Kenton County clerk. So Glad I went, very good info, for those of us running for office & for voters in general. Below are some very good facts

IMPORTANT INFO, & THIS HAS REALLY BEEN CONFUSING

*FACT Since 2006, Kentucky ONLY uses paper ballots, but there are 2 ways to vote
* You can get a paper ballot & fill in the bubbles, then they scan it into the machine
*The Touchscreen (Express voting), (this is NOT a computer ballot) You use the touch screen to vote & then it prints out your ballot & picks & gets scanned into the machine as well (but quicker)
The touch screen is good for speed, ADA Compliant, has braille, audio, etc
*If you vote during the 3 no excuse days you can go to your precinct & vote either way, or you can go to any precinct in your county, but must use the Touch screen machine as it will pre print your precincts ballot
*If you vote straight ticket for either party (BOO!) sorry, but just know that does not put your selections for non partisan offices like city council etc… So make sure you read every box & turn the page over. Many times those races may be on the other side of the page

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER

October 5th By 4pm Last day to register to vote
Sept 19 to Oct 20 Absentee ballot portal is open
Oct 21 to Oct 28 6 days open voting for excuses absentee ballots
Oct 29 to Oct 31 3 days no excuses needed early voting anywhere in County
Nov 3 Election Day anywhere in County 6am to 6pm

IMPORTANT WEBSITE

www.govote.ky.gov This is where you can register to vote, verify or update your registration easy peasy (If your kid is 17, but will be 18 by Nov 3rd, register them to vote as well)

HB 139 changes on voter ID’s

*They removed the following
Poll workers can no longer attest that they know you
Cannot use Social security cards
Cannot use credit cards or food stamp/snap cards

*What you can use
Drivers license/real ID
or state issued ID with photos on them (even if expired)
Military ID
College ID with photo
Passport
Costco card with photo & sign an affidavit or equivalent

*In the state of Ky, after 8 years of not voting you are notified, if you do not respond, after another 2 years you are removed, (which is a total of 10 years), however, you can go back and re register again

We as Americans are fortunate to have the privilege to vote and have our voices heard, every vote matters, trust me people have lost by 15 votes.

The 2026 General Election is November 3, 2026. The deadline to register to vote in the 2026 General Election is October 5, 2026 no later than 4:00 p.m. local time.

Last night I went to the City council meeting to voice why doubling the Mayors salary & eventually making it a full time position is a terrible idea. I attached my statement below.
Also while at the meeting Council woman Jennifer Jasper-Lucas came forward, under new business, informing the public that a 67 page email The Mayor had the city attorney send to all of council, forbidding Jennifer from communicating with any staff. She has to go thru the Mayor or the city attorney for all questions and open records 😳. Why you may ask, because she was asking questions... Questions/concerns she & residents she represents have. Isn't that one of the main jobs to elect Council to listen to you & be your voice? Below is the Facebook link to the meeting. (Fyi the city has the fb meetings & all comments deleted after 30 days), but eventually can still be found on you tube...
If I'm elected to Council I along with Jennifer and some other good current and hopefully some new faces for council will continue to be your voice, no matter how hard it becomes because of the lack of transparency our duo Mayors have thrust upon us...
