🚨RESIDENTS OF ERLANGER🚨

With the intermittent heat we have been experiencing, we want to remind everyone to STAY HYDRATED!

- Drink water early and often
- Replenish with electrolyte drinks
- Limit strenuous physical activity outdoors

🚨 DOE RUN LAKE🚨

In addition to staying hydrated, we want to remind everyone to be extremely careful when hiking at Doe Run Lake, especially when it’s warm outside. The terrain and length of these trails make it extremely difficult for crews to not only locate you, but to get you out of the trails should an emergency occur. Please use EXTREME CAUTION when hiking these trails.

Stay Hydrated, and Stay Safe!

Yesterday, our brother Paramedic Ryan Fogle and his family lost their home to a fire. Due to the flames and smoke damage, this family is starting from scratch. They also lost their family dog, Arnie. Paramedic Fogle has been serving the residents of Erlanger with Erlanger Fire/EMS Department for 4 years and his wife, Jen, is a physical therapist for Cincinnati Children’s. Any donations would help this wonderful family work towards getting back on their feet.

🚨FRIDAY FIREFIGHTER SPOTLIGHT🚨

Meet Lieutenant Keiana Sherman! Lt. Sherman started as a volunteer at Burlington Fire in 2018. She obtained her EMT in 2018, then obtained her Paramedic license shortly after in 2019. She completed her fire training in 2020 and started her career at Erlanger in 2021 as a FF/Medic. In January of 2025 she was promoted to Lieutenant!

Lt. Sherman has been a consistent role model and mentor at Erlanger Fire/EMS. Her crew says she leads by example and has gained the utmost respect and trust. Lt. Sherman also regularly uses her experience and strength as a female in the fire service to mentor other females in the fire service and makes sure they have all the tools they need to succeed.

Thank you, Lieutenant Sherman, for being an irreplaceable asset to our department!

Don’t forget to keep your outside vents clear of snow. Make sure all exhaust vents from your residence are clear of snow and ice debris, if these outlets become blocked or restricted the Carbon Monoxide will back feed into your residence.

Check on your furnace, hot water and dryer vent during and after heavy snowfalls, and clear snow away from the vent’s opening if it builds up.

Carbon Monoxide is known as the silent killer.
