5/13/26 We had a great time using our imagination and creating our nature collage using the materials we gathered on our walk yesterday. They did such a good job making different scenery.

We are ready for our Ladies Luncheon tomorrow from 12-1! Don’t forget to bring some flowers to share so you can make a custom bouquet to take home with you. We love this event and are so excited to shower you ladies with a free lunch and lots of encouragement. We can’t wait to see you there 💐

Join us next week as we celebrate an incredible milestone — the 50th Anniversary of the Clinchfield Senior Adult Center!

The community is invited to attend a special open house celebration on Wednesday, May 21, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Clinchfield Senior Adult Center, located at 220 Union Street in Erwin.

During the celebration, guests will enjoy:
🎉 Open House Activities
🎀 A Special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony hosted by the Chamber of Commerce at 4:30 p.m.
🪑 A special unveiling honoring the late Russell Brackins and a Peace Pole sponsored by the Unicoi County Rotary Club
🍪 Refreshments and fellowship

For 50 years, the Clinchfield Senior Adult Center has faithfully served our community, providing connection, support, and meaningful opportunities for local seniors. We hope you will join us as we honor their legacy and celebrate this exciting milestone together!

Today was such a beautiful day to take our nature walk on the Linear trail. We listened to some old southern gospel, and collected materials for our collage that we are making on a canvas tomorrow. After we were all done walking, we ate at Los Jalapeños for lunch. It was a beautiful day the Lord gave us. If you scroll through the pictures, you will see the family of turtles we spotted on a log.

Guess what we did today! We had Ice cream sundaes and played Bingo with Silver Angels. What did you do? If you are 50 and over, you could be enjoying these kind of activities with us. We would love nothing more than to have new people join! Special thanks to Susan Haag and Jackie Vest from Silver Angels, for bringing us yummy treats every month during their sponsorship of Bingo. We love and appreciate our volunteers who make activities like this possible. Next month will be a super surprise treat! Be looking on the calendar for the schedule of events.

You still have time to sign up for our Ladies Luncheon we will be having to celebrate the women in our lives. We also will be having a potato bar and the event is free to ladies of any age. RSVP is a must! Please bring home-grown or store-bought flowers to share at the flower bar. If you bring flowers, you will get to participate at our bouquet table which is the main event. You will leave with a signature bouquet. This is a special time to bring someone who has been an inspiration and support in your life.

What a great day we had yesterday! We went to the Barter Theatre to see Patsy Cline. We ate at Cracker Barrel. Everyone had a great time! I especially loved seeing the new faces on the trip.
