🔥🔥At approximately 8:30 pm Embreeville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the 4000 block of Cherokee road for a Motor vehicle crash. EVFD fire units went enroute and was then advised that the vehicle was on fire units arrived on scene of a working car fire off the roadway and began fire attack. The fire was extinguished with no injuries reported we would like to thank Washington County Sheriff's Office - TNWashington County / Johnson City EMSTennessee Highway Patrol@Washington county 911 for everyone’s help🔥🔥

In an emergency, every second counts. A blocked hydrant can delay firefighters from getting water on a fire quickly.

✅ Keep 3 feet of clear space around every hydrant
✅ Trim back bushes and low tree limbs
✅ Remove trash, debris, and overgrown weeds

🔥🔥At approximately 19:00 Embreeville Fire department was dispatched in the area of Arnold Road for a possible Grass Fire. Embreeville crews arrived on scene and found a small fire off the road way in the ditch, Crews began extinguishing the fire and digging a fire line to prevent any further spreading, The fire was extinguished with no reported injuries.🔥🔥

🔥🔥On 4/12/2026 Embreeville volunteer fire department was dispatched to the 200 block of highridge RD for a possible House Residential Fire. Crews arrived on scene and found a yard barn 50% involved and began a quick fire attack we would like to think the following departments for there help and resources West Carter County Volunteer Fire DepartmentJohnson City Fire DepartmentWashington County Sheriff's Office - TNWashington County / Johnson City EMS@Washington county 911. We ask that you keep the Widner family in your thoughts and prayers today as we share the passing of Sheryl Widner this morning. Sheryl was a longtime member of our fire department and faithfully served as our secretary/treasurer for many years. She will be greatly missed.
