FEMA is in Erwin and Unicoi County today to help storm damage victims with federal funding. The representatives will begin by visiting the distribution centers and will eventually reach out in communities. They will be able to answer any questions that you may have about applying for this assistance. Lots of Unicoi County Citizens will unfortunately have extensive un-insured loss and property damage. I urge each person to talk to these representatives to see what benefits they have to offer to your individual needs. I have included a flyer that has information on how you can contact them as well as website information.

Please continue to pray for our community and our neighbors as we navigate this tragedy.

We are thankful for all the support from our community, the Unicoi County Schools, EMA, Fire Departments, search and rescue, surrounding agencies, church community and the hundreds of volunteers for their commitment to our communities.

We are saddened to hear the unexpected death of Johnson County Sheriff Eddie Tester. Sheriff Tester was a great Sheriff and a close friend. Keep his department and family in prayer.
