The Sheriff's Office routinely takes complaints from citizens that have been the victim of a scam. There are many different variations of scams out there. But one of the biggest identifiers of a scam is when the perpetrators request that you pay them through gift cards. Trust your gut, if it doesn't feel right or is too good to be true its most likely a scam. If you are ever in doubt call your local police department.

Just another reminder to please stay off the roads. Due to blowing snow, white out conditions remain and many roads are impassable throughout the county. Please stay home.

URGENT

Please stay home. Extreme white out conditions and drifting present on all roads. Vehicles are getting stuck on the main roads and creating more hazards. If you have an emergency please call 911 and they will direct you on what to do.

Some roads are impassable and snow drifts are nearly impossible to see. County and City snowplows are doing their best to keep the main roads open.
