Superintendent Selfie - Clear Lake Style - Did you know that Delta Schoolcraft ISD and Marquette-Alger RESA have a partnership with U.S. Forest Service - Hiawatha National Forest to operate Clear Lake Education Center? This beautiful facility provides outdoor learning experiences like high ropes courses, nature lessons, arts and crafts, canoeing, kayaking, and much, much more. Groups can rent the property, which has cabins, a great hall, and an industrial kitchen. Superintendent Hansen was out at Clear Lake on June 25th to meet with the new director and representatives from the U.S. Forest Service. Such a beautiful place!

Teacher Professional Learning Sail on Saturday, July 25!

8:30am-12pm ET - Come aboard the Inland Seas tall ship schooner! Sail Lake Michigan and engage in place-based education as you learn about our local watershed, fish identification, water quality, and seamanship. Registration is free. Up to 20 teachers are eligible for a $100 stipend and up to 3 SCECHs. The boat will launch from 17 Water Plant Road, Escanaba. Remember your water bottle, hat, and sunscreen to make sure everyone has a safe and comfortable sailing experience. Register here by July 22: http://bit.ly/4fFV29e

Did you know that our Machining program builds a race car each year? This is a great way to tie practical machining skills to tangible projects to increase student engagement.

This year Mr. Valiquette entered our car in the Ludington Street Cruise and even won 2nd place in the race car division!
