How's that for some holiday glow!

The Esopus Lighthouse on a misty Thanksgiving morning. We spent Thanksgiving in New York's beautiful Hudson Valley. (More photos to follow.)

Spooktacular!

Spooktacular!

I do LOVE the fog

It always breaks my heart when a sister lighthouse suffers damage. Where do they go from here?

It always breaks my heart when a sister lighthouse suffers damage. Where do they go from here?

From LIGHTHOUSE DIGEST: Sanibel Island Lighthouse before and after Hurricane Ian.
KEEPERS HOUSES ARE NOW GONE.
THE LIGHTHOUSE IS IN DANGER OF COLLAPSE.
Look closely and you will notice that the bottom of one of the support legs is gone, and erosion under the other legs puts the lighthouse in a precarious position. There is also some other minor damage to the tower.
