Bauernschmidt Manor

Bauernschmidt Manor Frederick Bauernschmit, beer baron of the Bauernschmit’s American Brewery in Baltimore, MD, began construction of the Manor in 1906.

The historical landmark is located in Essex, MD on the Planters Paradise peninsula & is a private residence.

Renovation of the 2nd floor balcony is complete. All new deck boards have been installed, new custom copper gutters were installed, and a new railing system is in place. The 2nd floor air conditioning unit was replaced with a new heat pump and air handling system with new duct work. Beautiful craftsmanship was done by Prime Roofing & Exteriors.

The Manor recently had new copper flashing installed around all three chimneys.

Stairway to the Manor’s cupola where one of the Bauernschmidt Manor Bed and Breakfast signs hang.

The stairway also has windows that are opened during the summer to the attic where the blowers push out hot air to help keep the Manor cool.
