Today, Thursday, June 30, 2022 the Board of County Commissioners also repealed resolution 2020-20, which Declared a Fire Danger Emergency and Prohibited All Open Fires. Beginning tomorrow, July 1, 2022 all open burn days will be determined on a day to day basis. In order to burn, please contact Torrance County Dispatch at 505-384-2705 to inquire about a burn day. Torrance County Fire encourages all residents that are conducting an open burn to please have a water source nearby. Thank you!

Good afternoon residents. Many questions have come about in regard to the use of Fireworks in Torrance County. Today, the Board of County Commissioner repealed resolution 2022-33, which banned the use of certain fireworks. Torrance County Fire wants to wish everyone a safe and Happy 4th of July. Please remember to use fireworks safely as they can still create fires.
