What a great start to May for Estes Valley Restorative Justice Partnership (EVRJP)!

Over the first two Saturdays in May, we had the pleasure of participating in the Great Estes Park Duck Race hosted by the Estes Park Rotary and the Safety Fair hosted by the Estes Park Police Department.

Thank you to the Estes Park Rotary for putting on such a fantastic fundraiser and for helping restorative justice raise more than $1,800 through duck adoptions this year! We’re also incredibly grateful to everyone who supported EVRJP by adopting ducks.

A special shout out to Officer Paul Mieszala for coordinating such a fun and successful Safety Fair for our community!

Lastly, thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, spun the prize wheel, and supported EVRJP at both events. We hope you’re enjoying your merch and prizes!

Join us this Saturday, May 9th, for the annual Safety Fair hosted by the Estes Park Police Department!

The event will be held from 10:00am-2:00pm at the Estes Park Events Center and brings together a wide variety of regional public safety agencies showcasing equipment and apparatus ranging from armored vehicles and a bomb robot to drones and more. It’s a unique opportunity to see behind the scenes of the tools and technology that help keep our communities safe.

Enjoy a fun, family-friendly atmosphere with free hamburgers, hot dogs, snacks, and beverages served by Estes Park Auxiliary Officers. You’ll also find live demonstrations, door prizes, and public safety giveaways throughout the day.

The Estes Valley Restorative Justice Partnership will be there as well - stop by our table to say hello, learn more about restorative justice, spin our prize wheel, and pick up some EVRJP swag.

There may even be a few special guests making an appearance to add to the fun.

We hope to see you there!

RARE DUCK SIGHTING IN ESTES PARK! 👀🦆

Well folks…it finally happened. A very rare (and suspiciously adorable) species of duck has flown into town ahead of the Great Estes Park Duck Race on May 2nd. Experts are calling it the Flufficus Quackerson - known for its charm, questionable waddling skills, and passion for restorative justice.

This special duck isn’t just here for the race…it’s on a mission to support the Estes Valley Restorative Justice Partnership!

Want to help this rare species make a BIG splash? You can adopt a duck for EVRJP and support our work in the community! Adopt using the QR code or link below, or by coming to visit us at our booth on race day.

BONUS: If you stop by, you may get the once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet this rare duck in person. (Autographs not guaranteed. Treats may be required.)

Every duck adopted helps us continue building a stronger, more compassionate Estes Valley - so let’s get quacking!

The Estes Valley Restorative Justice Partnership builds and restores community by helping residents and visitors address harm, conflict, and difficult situations through dialogue, accountability, and meaningful repair.

Funds from the 2026 Rotary Duck Race will directly support restorative justice services across the Estes Valley, including conflict resolution services, community group conferencing, school-based programming, and much more!

Your duck adoption helps ensure that people impacted by harm can be heard, supported, and included in a fair and healing process. Together, we’re strengthening safety, connection, and resilience across our mountain community.

Adopt your duck today and let it race for a great cause!

Coffee & Tea with the PD ☕️

Join us for Coffee & Tea with the Estes Park Police Department at Town Hall on Thursday, February 5th from 4:00-5:00pm! This monthly gathering is a relaxed, welcoming space for community members and volunteers to connect with officers while enjoying complimentary coffee, tea, and treats.

Over the past 20+ years, the Estes Valley has faced major natural disasters - from the 2013 Flood, to the East Troublesome & Cameron Peak Fires (2021), and most recently the Alexander Mountain Fire (2024). These events have shaped how we prepare, respond, and recover as a community.

The Estes Valley Restorative Justice Partnership (EVRJP) is proud to support these efforts as a part of a VOAD (Voluntary Organization Active in a Disaster), working alongside Chief Ian Stewart of the EPPD and partners like the American Red Cross of Northern Colorado, Serve 6.8, and the Salvation Army to strengthen our community’s emergency response.

Interested in learning more about disaster preparedness, response, or how you can get involved? Come chat with us and the American Red Cross at Coffee & Tea with the PD - or reach out anytime, we’d love to connect!
