📢 NEW CITY ORDINANCE EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2026 📢

Beginning June 1, 2026, the City of Eudora will implement a new ordinance regarding the operation and registration of Work-Site Utility Vehicles (UTVs) and Micro Utility Trucks within city limits.

This ordinance outlines:
✅ Registration requirements
✅ Equipment requirements
✅ Operating rules and restrictions
✅ Licensing and insurance requirements
✅ Where these vehicles may legally operate

Please take time to review the ordinance before operating a UTV or Micro Utility Truck on city streets.

💲 Registration Fees:
• $100 — Residents within Eudora City Limits
• $150 — Residents living in the county with a 66025 zip code

🚓 The Eudora Police Department will offer open registration at the Police Department on:
• June 1st & 2nd
• June 4th & 5th
⏰ 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

After these dates, all registrations will be by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, please call the front office at 785-542-2153.

Please join us in congratulating Officer Nate Criqui on graduating from the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center on Friday, May 22!

Officer Criqui has successfully completed the academy and is now beginning the next phase of his career with the Eudora Police Department. Over the next 14 weeks, he will be participating in our Field Training Program, where he will continue to develop the skills and experience needed to serve our community.

If you see Officer Criqui around town, feel free to introduce yourself and help us welcome him to the community. We are proud of his accomplishment and look forward to seeing him grow in his new role.

🚧 Traffic Alert 🚧

If you use N 1400 Road going east of Eudora into Johnson County, you will need to find a different route starting today, Monday, May 18. Douglas County, Kansas Government will be replacing a bridge in the area and it will be closed for the next few months.

ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE! 🚧 Starting next Monday, May 18, N 1400 Road (Route 442) will be closed between E 2300 Road and E 2400 Road for a bridge replacement project.

Access will be maintained for nearby properties.

The existing weight-restricted bridge was built by the state in 1931 as part of the original K-10 Highway project. The project is included in the Capital Improvement Plan and is estimated to cost $1.2 million. The project is expected to take four months, weather permitting.

Yesterday, May 13th, Officers with the Eudora Police Department attended “Lunch with Law Enforcement” at Eudora Elementary School! Officers had a great time eating with and serving lunch to the students.
