This week, the Eufaula Police Department proudly recognizes and celebrates National Police Week.

We want to take a moment to thank our officers for the dedication, sacrifice, and professionalism they show every single day while serving the citizens of Eufaula. From protecting our streets to helping those in need during difficult moments, their commitment to this community does not go unnoticed.

Law enforcement is more than a job, it’s a calling of service, courage, and compassion. We are grateful for the men and women who put on the badge each day and work tirelessly to keep our community safe.

Please join us in showing appreciation to all law enforcement officers during Police Week and especially to the officers of the Eufaula Police Department. Thank you for your service and everything you do for our community every day. 💙🚔

🚨 PUBLIC SAFETY NOTICE 🚨

The Eufaula Police Department will be participating in the national “Click It or Ticket” campaign from May 11 through May 31. During this enforcement period, officers will be actively monitoring seat belt compliance throughout the community.

Our goal is simple: keep drivers and passengers safe. Wearing your seat belt greatly reduces the risk of serious injury or death in a crash. Whether you are traveling across town or heading out on the highway, make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly buckled up.

Please help us make Eufaula safer by remembering:
✔️ Buckle up every trip
✔️ Ensure all passengers are restrained
✔️ Follow all traffic laws

Seat belts save lives. Click It or Ticket.

City of Eufaula Police Department Celebrates Training Milestones for Two Officers

Eufaula, OK — The City of Eufaula Police Department is proud to recognize the accomplishments of two of its officers who have recently completed significant training programs, further enhancing the department’s commitment to professional excellence and public safety.

Officer Tanner Jones has successfully graduated from the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) Basic Police Academy. The rigorous 16-week program consists of more than 600 hours of comprehensive instruction, covering areas such as criminal law, defensive tactics, fi****ms proficiency, emergency response, and community policing. During the academy, Officer Jones was also awarded Top Shot for demonstrating exceptional fi****ms proficiency and marksmanship. This achievement marks an important milestone in Officer Jones’ law enforcement career and ensures they are well-prepared to serve and protect the citizens of Eufaula.

In addition, Officer Dylan Fry has completed the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) K9 Handler School, an intensive program totaling approximately 160 hours of specialized training. This course focuses on the development of K9 handling skills, including detection work, obedience, tracking, and deployment techniques. Through this training, Officer Fry and their K9 partner, Kilo, are now equipped to assist in narcotics detection and other critical law enforcement operations.

“These accomplishments reflect the dedication and professionalism of our officers,” said David Bryning, Chief of Police. “Continued training like this ensures that our department remains prepared to meet the evolving needs of our community.”

The City of Eufaula Police Department remains committed to investing in advanced training and professional development to provide the highest level of service to its residents.

🚓🚓☀️Public Safety Awareness☀️🚓🚓

The Eufaula Police Department would like to remind the community and visitors that as summer kicks off and the days get longer, more people are out enjoying time with friends, road trips, and celebrations. But with the fun comes responsibility.

Sadly, nearly 12,000 people lost their lives in alcohol-impaired crashes in 2024. That’s 12,000 lives, families, and futures changed forever.

Don’t let a night of fun turn into a lifetime of regret by becoming a statistic.

Plan ahead for a safe, sober ride home:
🔴 Schedule a rideshare
🔴 Call a taxi
🔴 Have a sober friend drive you

Make the smart choice before you go out. Enjoy your summer, but protect yourself and others on the road. 🚗☀️

🚓🚗 Traffic Safety Awareness 🚗🚓

Spring is here and summer break is right around the corner, which means more teens are starting their driving adventures.

Teen drivers are still learning the road, and every decision matters. Speeding, distractions (especially phones), and not wearing seatbelts are leading causes of accidents.

Let’s work together as parents and a community to encourage safe habits and lead by example.

The Eufaula Police Department would like to encourage you to:

Slow down. Stay focused. Buckle up.

A few seconds of caution can save a lifetime.

Just a friendly reminder to make sure to have a plan! Hope everyone will be smart and get home safely tonight.
