Alligator Awareness Weekend is a fun and educational celebration designed to help visitors learn how to safely share the landscape with one of Alabama’s most iconic native species. From live demonstrations to guided boat tours, this weekend is packed with exciting opportunities for families, nature lovers, and anyone curious about our local wildlife.

This year, we’re also honored to highlight the legacy of William Bartram, one of America’s earliest and most influential naturalists. Our special exhibit showcases Bartram’s groundbreaking observations of Southeastern wildlife, including the American alligator, and explores how his work continues to shape modern conservation!

Don’t miss out on this unique combination of wildlife education and natural history!
Register today and join us at the park for a weekend full of learning, exploration, and appreciation.
