❄️ Winter Weather on the Way ❄️

With winter weather expected in the near future, now is a great time to start preparing for winter driving and colder conditions. The Eufaula Police Department encourages everyone to plan ahead and take a little extra care when traveling.

🚗 Slow down, buckle up, give yourself extra time, and do not drive distracted
🧊 Watch for slick spots on bridges and overpasses
🧣 Make sure your vehicle is ready and you have warm items on hand
📱 Stay focused and avoid distractions while driving

Looking out for one another is what makes our community strong. Let’s work together to keep Eufaula safe this winter as some harsh conditions appear to be coming soon.

📣 Feel free to share this post to help keep friends and neighbors informed.

📵🚔 Put the Phone Down. Lives Depend on It. 🚔📵

Starting January 17, the Eufaula Police Department is joining the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and agencies across the state to crack down on distracted driving in honor of Trooper Nicholas Dees.

Trooper Dees was killed in the line of duty after a driver failed to yield while texting.

📱 One text.
🚗 One distraction.
⚠️ One life changed forever.

If you’re behind the wheel, your only job is driving.

Please share this message and help us keep Eufaula’s roads safe.

🗓️ Enforcement continues through January 31.

As we ring in the New Year, let’s take care of one another the way only a small-town community can.

If you’re celebrating, plan ahead for a safe ride home:
⚫ Schedule a rideshare
⚫ Call a local taxi
⚫ Ask a sober friend or family member for a ride

Driving impaired by alcohol or any other substance puts neighbors, friends, and families at risk. A little planning goes a long way in keeping our community safe. We appreciate everyone working together to make sure the New Year starts on a positive and responsible note.

🚨 Community Information Notice 🚨

On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, and Thursday, December 11, 2025, between 0900 and 1030, a large police presence will be in the area for the McIntosh County Shop With a Cop event. Eufaula Officers and Officers from multiple agencies will be escorting participating children during the event’s activities.

Please be aware that Main Street—from Selmon Rd. to Foley Ave.—will be temporarily shut down, beginning with the event’s first stop at Sharpes. Alternate routes may be needed, and we encourage drivers to plan ahead and use caution in the area.

There is no cause for concern; the increased presence and road closures are solely related to this community outreach event.

Thank you for your patience and support as we make this a memorable and meaningful experience for the kids of McIntosh County!

Eufaula Lodge 207’s Treasurer Josh Cummings poses with Birthday Boy Grayson celebrating his love for all things police and his 3rd birthday.

Happy birthday buddy from all of us at Eufaula FOP Lodge 207!

🎉🚓 HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY to a little future officer! 🚓🎉

What a treat this day was for us! We don’t often get calls as rewarding as this one. A special request to help celebrate Grayson turning three and already loving police lights, badges, and all things patrol!

In the picture, you can see our SRO Josh Cummings, patrolling the streets while school is out on break, kneeling beside the birthday boy who’s grinning from ear to ear and proudly showing off his junior police badge sticker. 🚨💙

We had so much fun celebrating with you today. You may only be 3, but you’ve already got the excitement and big heart of a true officer in the making. Keep loving those police cars, keep being awesome, and keep that smile shining bright.

From all of us at the Eufaula Police Departmebt, we hope your birthday is packed with cake, fun, and plenty of pretend calls for service! 🚓🎂🎉

Happy Birthday, buddy! 🎈👮‍♂️💙
