Eugene School District 4J is a public K–12 school district serving about 16,000 students from an area spanning 155 square miles. School nurses do so much more than apply ice packs—they are trusted leaders who make 4J students their first priority, providing care, coordinating services, identifying needs and removing barriers so they can stay healthy, in class and ready to learn.

Join us in celebrating the 18 registered nurses and 13 licensed practical nurses at 4J during today’s National School Nurse Day and thanking these incredible professionals for all they do every day!

May 4–8 is Teacher Appreciation Week, and May 5 is National Teacher Day—a special time to recognize the dedication, passion, and impact of teachers across our schools. From sparking curiosity to building confidence, teachers help shape the future in countless ways.

Friday, May 8 | ⏰ 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
📍 River Road/El Camino del Río Elementary School, 120 W. Hilliard Ln., Eugene, OR
Incoming kindergarten students and their families are invited to a fun, hands-on evening filled with crafts, bilingual story time, art activities, playground fun, community partners, and food trucks!
This district-wide event is all about helping families feel connected, confident, and excited for the transition to kindergarten.
All activities are inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar—making it a magical and memorable experience for our future students. 🐛🍎
