Apply to be an Adult Protective Services (APS) Specialist (Abuse Investigator) for our Senior & Disability Services Division.

The APSS works with a team of dedicated professionals to investigate abuse allegations, create thorough reports, and coordinate with community organizations as needed to stabilize urgent situations and improve the quality of life of older adults and adults with disabilities.

May was a busy month for us! We partnered with Family Resource Center and Family Relief Nursery in Creswell to provide child passenger safety services to local families. This Older Americans Month, we're celebrating the power of community - and inviting you to be part of it. Our Older Americans Act programs rely on compassionate volunteers who help older adults stay connected, nourished, and supported.

We're currently seeking volunteers for:
▪️Rural Medical Transportation - helping rural older neighbors get to medical appointments
▪️Meals on Wheels - deliver nutritious meals and a friendly check-in
▪️Café 60 - assisting in kitchens and dining rooms at our community meal sites
▪️Friendly Visiting - spending time with older adults in their homes to reduce loneliness and build meaningful connections

A small amount of your time can make a big difference in someone's life. Join us in strengthening our community, one neighbor at a time.

✨Eugene Class Highlight: Bicycle Transportation (PPPM 4/538) taught by Professor Marc Schlossberg ✨

Students are partnering with City of Eugene Transportation to explore strategies that encourage more people to bike in Eugene more often. Through infrastructure redesign concepts, encouragement campaigns, and policy recommendations, students are developing ideas to support a more accessible, safer, and connected bicycling experience across the community.

🚲 Join us at the Farmers Market Pavilion on Wednesday, June 3, from 2-4 pm to view class posters and connect with students about their ideas to support the future of bicycle transportation in Eugene.

The event is free and open to the public — we hope to see you there!
