Bringing the Farmers Market Home
Residents at one of the properties served by Cornerstone didn't have to travel far to enjoy fresh and healthy food this month. Cornerstone's Pop-Up Farmers Market brought a variety of fruits, vegetables, and grocery items directly to the residents. Throughout the afternoon, neighbors stopped by to collect food, chat with staff, and enjoy a resource designed to make healthy eating easier and more accessible.
Providing healthy food close to home helps remove barriers that many families face. Fresh fruits and vegetables support heart health, digestion, healthy weight management, and overall wellness. Events like this also strengthen community connections and help residents feel supported. A Healthy Walk in the Sunshine

Sunshine, Snacks, and Smiles ☀️
Who doesn’t love a picnic, especially on a bright sunny spring day? Residents at one of the properties served by Cornerstone gathered outside to enjoy hot dogs, chili, chips, watermelon, drinks, and sweet treats. Some families sat at tables, others relaxed on the grass, and the whole day had that happy spring feeling that makes people want to stay outside a little longer.
The picnic also included a fun line dancing demo, giving residents a chance to move, laugh, and try something new together. Good Deeds Turn Into Stars ⭐
Cornerstone’s Rising Star Day gives kids a fun way to practice kindness, responsibility, and positive choices. Children play games, earn points for doing good deeds, and then use those points at the Star Store for toys, gift cards, or save up for something bigger.
This month’s activity also included painting, coloring, snacks, and lots of happy moments around the table. Residents came together this month at one of the properties served by Cornerstone for a fun and flavorful Community Event featuring everyone’s favorite snack: nachos! The toppings table was packed with colorful choices, and residents enjoyed creating plates loaded with cheese, olives, jalapeños, tomatoes, and more. One young resident proudly held her overflowing tray with a huge smile, capturing exactly what the afternoon was all about: fun, comfort, and connection.

With gloves on and shovels in hand, residents have been enjoying time outside preparing and planting this year’s Community Garden. Six Rounds, One Special Celebration
Bingo day brought residents together last week at one of the properties served by Cornerstone for six lively rounds of fun, prizes, and plenty of laughter. Some residents focused carefully on their cards, while others chatted with friends and enjoyed the excitement of waiting for the next number. It is easy to see why Bingo remains one of the most attended activities. It gives residents something joyful to look forward to and turns an ordinary afternoon into a room full of energy.
This month’s event also honored Gene’s milestone birthday and his upcoming departure from the community. Neighbors gathered around him with white cake, warm hugs, a farewell card, and stories from the time they shared together. The celebration was both happy and bittersweet, filled with gratitude for Gene and the friendships made along the way. 🌸 Tiny Flowers, Big Smiles
During this month’s Active Kids activity, children created their own flower crafts using colorful paper, creativity, and a whole lot of imagination. One little girl couldn’t stop smiling as she proudly held up her finished bouquet, excited to show everyone what she had made. Her joy said it all. Sometimes the smallest projects create the biggest moments of confidence.
