Our ATS cadets put in the work and it showed!
From mastering their drill movements to pushing through written and speech tests, these cadets demonstrated focus, discipline, and determination every step of the way. Each challenge helped sharpen their skills and build confidence as future leaders.
All of that hard work led to a proud and well-earned graduation ceremony. Watching these cadets cross the stage was a true reminder of how much they’ve grown during ATS. Congratulations to all our graduates—we are incredibly proud of you!

Advanced Training Squadron (ATS)

The Advanced Training Squadron (ATS) is designed for Cadet Non-Commissioned Officers who have already completed their first encampment and are ready to take the next step in their leadership development. ATS provides students and cadre with a deeper understanding of how an encampment operates while building confidence, responsibility, and professional skills.

One of the highlights of the ATS program is the opportunity to job shadow key encampment cadre positions near the end of the activity. Cadets observe and learn from teams such as Public Affairs, Health Services, Dining Facilities, Logistics, Flight Cadre, Squadron Commanders, the Cadet Commander and other roles, gaining firsthand insight into how each section contributes to a successful encampment.

This experience allows cadets to explore different leadership paths, better understand the responsibilities of each role, and begin thinking about where they may want to serve at future encampments. ATS is an invaluable step in preparing cadets for continued growth, leadership, and service within Civil Air Patrol.

We were honored to host Brad Nolan from CAP National Marketing & Communications, who spent time with our cadets discussing the importance of storytelling, professionalism, and representing Civil Air Patrol to the public.

His visit offered valuable insight into how effective communication supports CAP’s mission and strengthens our connection with the communities we serve. Thank you for taking the time to visit and inspire our cadets!

ATS and first time cadets had the opportunity to take a tour of the Maritime Museum, exploring maritime history and learning how sea power, navigation, and technology has shaped our nation. For many cadets, this was their first exposure to the museum, making it an exciting and educational experience. The tour connected lessons of leadership, service, and heritage while giving cadets a deeper appreciation for the missions that protect our waterways and support national security.

In just a short time at encampment, our cadets have shown remarkable growth in leadership, confidence, discipline, and teamwork. Each day challenges them to step out of their comfort zones and discover their potential. The dedication and determination they've shown so far is something to be proud of. Encampment is challenging, rewarding, and unforgettable-and this is just the beginning!
