The Euless Fire Department is a career department providing fire, emergency medical and specialized rescue and support services to a population of approximately 52,000 citizens in an approximately 11.2 square mile urban area. The Department operates two 75 foot quints, a 110 foot quint and three MICU's from three fire stations. The Department responded to 4160 calls for emergency services in 2011. The Department is very active in regional fire issues including participation in the NEFDA group, as well as automatic and mutual aid agreements with surrounding Cities. The Euless Fire Department is ranked one of the best in the State for fire protection and prevention. The Fire Department is very proud to be one of only a handful of departments in the State that has been awarded an ISO CLASS 1 designation by the Insurance Service Organization. The ISO rates municipal fire protection on a scale of Class 1 through Class 10, with a 1 designating excellent service. The department was originally established as a small volunteer organization in 1955 and has grown with the area into the career department of today. We are proud to be associated with our neighboring communities in a joint effort to provide excellent service to the residents of our community and the 14 combined communities comprising the North East Fire Department Association.

A group of volunteers went through the City of Euless and left encouraging messages at each fire station, fire administration and the police and courts facility. Thank you so much for cheering up our hard working public safety personnel this week. This is simply #fabeuless

As we near Memorial Day Weekend, I would like to pause for a moment to honor our lost heroes. It's so important to remember all who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy today. Please stop for a moment and give thanks to these brave men and women.

I would like to give a special thanks to our Public Works employees for keeping our streets repaired and keeping our water and wastewater services operating, our Animal Shelter staff that take care of our four-legged friends, the Parks maintenance crews for our beautiful parks and medians, Code Compliance and Planning for working with our small businesses, and our many other staff members who are working every day to answer questions for our residents. I appreciate all of you!

Phase Two of Open Texas begins today. Restaurants will expand their occupancy to 50% and a variety of other businesses such as bars and bowling alleys will begin to open. The Parks at Texas Star will begin baseball league play and tournaments on June 15. As we continue to take steps to reopen Texas, it is important that you make decisions that are the best for you and your family. I am hearing from our residents about great ways they have continued to support our local businesses while using wise judgement to stay healthy. Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Starting June 1, the City will reopen lobby areas to the public with physical distancing requirements. We will have hand sanitizing stations complete with gloves and masks that will be available for visitors. We are also planning to open the Fitness Center on a modified schedule with reduced occupancy through a reservation system. The Senior Center, Recreation Center, Natatorium, Park rental facilities, Parks at Texas Star and Library will remain closed. The Library will continue to provide curbside and book locker service.

The Aquatic Park will also remain closed for the season. I understand this will be a great disappointment to many of you; however, the Governor has not yet released water parks to open and given the lengthy process of hiring and training seasonal staff, coupled with the difficulty of maintaining safety and distancing protocols in a water park, we have made the decision to cancel this season. Summer camps have also been cancelled for those same reasons.

The Parks and Community Services Department and Library have continued to provide some wonderful virtual programming on their social media channels. Texas Star Golf Course is open again and our beautiful parks are in bloom right now. I appreciate the wonderful spirit of our Euless community with everyone doing your part to help us reopen Texas safely.

Governor Abbott announced steps to slowly reopen Texas. Beginning Friday, May 1 the Stay at Home order will be lifted. We will be working with local businesses to facilitate their opening in accordance with the Governor’s guidance. Specially, we look forward to many retail businesses and medical offices being able to open. The Governor indicated that businesses such as hair salon, gyms and nail salons will be addressed in Phase II of his plan, which is expected in mid-May.

The Tarrant County Epidemic Curve is beginning to level out. Let’s continue that momentum! Please keep using caution when going out and stay physically distant from one another.

While you’re still home, don’t forget to fill out the Census online. Euless is benefitting from the Census right now through free meals for students from the USDA Child Nutrition Program, US SBA disaster loans for small businesses, federal money is provided to hospitals for services and emergency supplies. It’s quick and easy and will make a big difference in our community. Do your part and Be Counted! My2020census.gov

Getting to Know Your Euless Fire Department

Welcome to the Euless Fire Department page!

We created this page several years ago as a means to reach out to our citizens and give you an easy and convenient method to find out information about your fire department. This page is continuously updated with the most current news and photos of local fire department events, emergency responses, and critical fire safety messages to keep you and your family safe. We encourage all Euless citizens to “like” and “follow” this page to stay up to date with what is going on in your community. And even if you don’t live or work in Euless, we still fill this page with important, and often entertaining, photos and videos showing a behind-the-scenes look at one of the best fire departments in the country (we might be just a little bit biased).

Although we were originally established as a small volunteer organization in 1955 to serve just a few hundred citizens, we have continued to grow along with our bustling community into a career fire department that provides fire, emergency medical, and specialized rescue services to the 55,000+ citizens who call Euless home and the tens of thousands more who work, visit or pass through our community each and every day. We are proud to partner with our neighboring communities in a joint effort to provide service to all of the residents of the 14 combined Tarrant County cities that make up the North East Fire Department Association, known locally as NEFDA. Our department staffs highly skilled firefighter/paramedics who operate both fire and medical units from each of the three fire stations strategically located around our 11.2 square mile coverage area to provide a rapid response for all types of emergency situations. Last year we responded to over 4,700 calls for emergency services, and that number continues to grow each year. The Euless Fire Department is ranked one of the best in Texas for fire protection and fire prevention. We are honored to be recognized as one of only a handful of departments in the state to achieve an ISO CLASS 1 designation by the Insurance Service Organization, the highest rating possible.

We encourage our citizens to take advantage of one or more of the fun and educational classes we offer each year such as our Citizens Fire Academy, Kids Fire Academy, and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program. These classes give you an opportunity to meet and interact with the individuals tasked with keeping you and your family safe, all while having a blast and getting to know other Euless citizens. Feel free to check out our website http://www.eulesstx.gov/fire to sign up for one of these classes or call 817-685-1600 for more information.

We encourage you to send us photos from the interactions you have with the Euless Fire Department so we can share them on this page. Whether it’s a couple of our firefighters taking a few minutes to show your child one of our fire engines or an action shot of us battling a blazing building or rescuing a kitten from a tree, we would love to see your photos and hear your stories. If you have a question, feel free to send us a message through this page, however please keep in mind that this page is NOT monitored at all times and is NOT a substitute for calling 911 for emergencies.

As always, we are honored to serve our citizens! We train constantly and prepare relentlessly so that if you ever need us, we will be there to help.

We just wanted to thank Euless Fire Station No. 1 for helping my baby boy this evening... I didn’t get their names because I was in complete shock, but the two gentlemen were so polite, kind, gentle, caring, informative, and compassionate. It took them so fast to arrive too! My whole family felt at ease and loved their company. Heroes in our eyes... I feel so much better after seeing/talking to them. If you guys are reading this, THANK YOU guys SO much! We are forever grateful❤️❤️❤️❤️
I would like to Thank the Euless Fire Department for the quick response to our residence this morning at 2:45 for medical assistance that my wife required in her difficulty of breathing. All of you who responded showed a great degree of respect and professionalism for the situation that was occurring, especially to the paramedic who tended to her. Once again, Thanks for your great response. My utmost respect goes out to you all. Al Myers
To the Euless Fire Department, Thank you for everything that you do for the citizens of Euless. With the COVID-19 precautions in place, there may be a need for working longer than normal hours. Some of your first responders may have pets at home with no one to take care of them. We would like to offer our drop-in service to any first responder who has pets that need care while they are at work. The visits would be completely FREE and limited to one every 6 hours. The visits must take place in our service area and will continue until the schools reopen and citizens are allowed to return to work. Our sitters will take every precaution to prevent the spread of germs from one house to another by sanitizing their hands before entering a person’s home, wearing a face mask and washing their hands before leaving. Our servicing zip codes are 76021, 76022, 76039, 76051, 76053, 76054, 76092, 76102, 76111, 76117, 76118, 76120, 76131, 76137, 76148, 76177, 76180, 76182, 76244, 76248 or 76262. If any of your first responders live within our service area and would like to take advantage of our offer, please have them call the number below. We look forward to serving you. Sincerely, Rose Marie Owner, Paws & Claws Pet Services 817-380-8480

We had a vehicle fire on the side of the road this week and was told by the fire department not to call AAA because the tow company ( Euless B and B Wrecker Service ) was on the way and that it would be free towing....We got to our vehicle within two hours and had to pay $214.00 to get our vehicle out....It is bad business to lie to people when they are in distress to get business for companies that you are contracted with.
