Yesterday at 4-H Science Club, our young scientists got their hands dirty dissecting owl pellets! 🦉🔬

Owl pellets are the parts of an owl’s meal that they can’t digest — like bones, fur, feathers, and teeth — all packed into a little “owl surprise package.” By carefully pulling them apart, members were able to identify what the owl had eaten and learn more about food chains and ecosystems. 🐭🦴

There were lots of “ewwws,” “whoas,” and exciting discoveries as we uncovered tiny skeletons hidden inside! Science got a little messy, a little creepy, and a whole lot of fun. 😄

Scarlett’s dedication and hard work paid off as she was awarded of Champion Pony Judged—an incredible accomplishment.

We’re proud to see her representing Webster County 4-H with excellence!
