💧 Water System Update 💧

Following today’s waterline break on Factory Road, sediment was stirred up in the system. We had hoped the impact would be minimal, but it appears the break disrupted a significant amount.

Based on the reports we are receiving, the discoloration appears to be moving through the system in a pattern that may affect the Churchill Community first, then areas around North Lake Circle, Walthall, and Bellefontaine over the next few days.

City crews are making rounds and flushing different areas of the system, and we will continue doing so. Residents may also flush their own lines by running an outdoor faucet for at least 15-20 minutes if they are able and willing.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience as this sediment works its way through the system.

‼️💧 City of Eupora Water Update

The City of Eupora will be flushing points throughout the water system this evening to help clear discolored water from the lines following today’s water main break.

If you experience discolored water you can help expedite the process by allowing your cold water to run for a few minutes.

Update: 3:34 PM Our crews have located the issue and isolated the leak. Water pressure should begin building back soon.

The City of Eupora is aware that some residents are experiencing low water pressure in areas throughout town.

Our crews are out now working to locate the issue and determine what repairs or adjustments may be needed. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to get pressure restored as quickly as possible.

⚡️💡 The City of Eupora would like to thank the team at Natchez Trace Electric Power Association for their work installing new lighting around the perimeter of Stennett Park. ⚡️💡

These lights will allow the park to be enjoyed later into the evening and earlier in the mornings, giving residents more time to walk, gather, and enjoy this beautiful public space.

We would also like to recognize the Eupora 2% Commission, as this project was completed using 2% funds dedicated to improving parks and recreation opportunities in our community.

We are grateful for everyone who helped make this improvement possible and excited to see Stennett Park continue to grow as a welcoming space for all.

👷 We’re excited to see PJ’s offering portable accessory structures. They’re a great option for extra storage, but we want to help folks avoid a “buy now, move it later” situation. 👷

For anyone placing one inside the city limits of Eupora, a permit is required before the building is delivered or placed on the property. Checking with City Hall first helps make sure the lot can support the structure and that it’s going in the right location.

It’s much easier to handle the permit on the front end than to deal with extra costs on the back end if the building has to be moved or brought into compliance. We appreciate PJ’s helping us share this with customers before delivery.
