Our friends at Myers Flat Fire rely on all of us to be able to continue to provide a much needed service in our rural community. City Ambulance of Eureka couldn't do what we do best, without the ongoing help and support of all of our local fire departments. At 12:53 this afternoon, Myers Flat Fire Rescue 6976 responded to a call of an unresponsive female with cpr in progress. Along with members of CAL FIRE Humboldt-Del Norte Unit , together we successfully resuscitated her and brought her back. It's incredible moments like this, that teamwork and dedication, training, and more training, together with our mutual aid departments that make the job of a first responder really shine. We want to thank all the incredible folks who help us reach our goals everyday We wish her and her family a swift and blessed recovery!
Our department works everyday on the thinnest of budget. We have to be masters at splitting pennies in thirds to continue to grow and equip, and train our team of dedicated firefighters. We want to thank everyone who continues to donate to our department, and supports our fundraisers. It takes 12 burgers to sell at our barbecues to pay for new defibrillator pads.
