I would like to recognize this group of volunteers from Advanced Security and two generations of my Lafayette Elementary students for helping us prepare for our Christmas food programs. We split this group up into two crews: one filling food baskets and one baking cookies for our dinner tonight, Dec 23. We absolutely love their holiday spirit! A huge thank you to them, and we hope to see you all at the Municipal Auditorium tonight!

This Thanksgiving has inspired us so much. Through the power of the community, we gathered yesterday and celebrated by distributing and sharing as much food as we could to those who need it most. In total, we passed out 375 food baskets and 600 hot meals, feeding an estimated 1500 people this holiday. This was such an incredible display of unity in this very difficult time.

We would like to give immense gratitude to our donors. Without the support of you all and the community at large we could not sustain programs like this. We hope we continue to serve to your standards. Your support means the world to us.

We would also like to thank the staff of Advanced Security, the St. Bernards leadership class, Eureka Police Department, our College Corps Fellows of Cal Poly Humboldt Laura, Emily, and Micah, and our staff Jen, Noah, Denae, and Manuel for making this difficult week happen without flaw.

Thank you everybody and we wish you a happy Thanksgiving

A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Eureka for donating 30 turkeys to help feed families this holiday season. Our Holiday Food Basket list is full, and we have signed up 370 individuals so far for hot meal pickup. In total we will feed over 1000 this Thanksgiving. Thanks again and enjoy your Thanksgiving!
