🌲Only two days until we are back on the Forest Moon!🌲

Join Eureka Community Services and the Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission at the FREE Sequoia Park Family Day event during Forest Moon Festival 2026! Come dressed in your best for the costume contest for adults and kids, pick up a FREE inflatable saber, find the photo ops in the park, and get a temporary tattoo! There will be themed out of this world vendors present in the park and food trucks to purchase food, as well as bubbles provided by HumBubbles! Don't miss this awesome annual event!

When: Saturday, May 30th from 2PM-4PM
Where: Sequoia Park
All Ages and Free!

On Saturday, June 6, the Humboldt Asian Pacific Islanders in Solidarity (HAPI) invites volunteers to plant small trees, shrubs, and ground cover plants around the Eureka Chinatown Monument (First and E Streets in Eureka). Previous experience with planting is helpful, but not necessary.

Volunteers must be confirmed in advance. If you would like to participate, please respond by submitting the Google Form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfLNr1czDYCmifZXCFhqcUDv8ClSvuIm7Rjn1mVXO2VBX6suA/viewform before May 29. We will email confirmations on May 30. Questions may be directed to Mitch Higa at [email protected].

There will be a 9 am to noon morning shift and a 12:30 to 3:30 pm afternoon shift. Volunteers can work one or both shifts, but we can only accept ten volunteers per shift. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Whether you volunteer or not, on the same day, the Moon to Moon Chinatown Tour and Taiko Concert will take place from 4 to 5 pm starting at the nearby “Fowl” mural at Charlie Moon Way.

☀Spots are still available at Camp Sequoia and Camp Cooper this summer!☀

Don't miss the opportunity for your kids to get outside and PLAY this summer! Although some weeks are full, there is still lots of opportunity for your little one to join in the fun. Both camps prioritize outdoor play and connection with peers and staff. Each week, Camp Sequoia and Camp Cooper meet up at the Eureka Municipal Auditorium for roller skating fun!

🌲Who: Kids Ages 5-12
🌲Cost: $150 per week (non-Eureka residents pay an additional $10 fee; weeks with observed holidays are prorated to accommodate shorted programs)
🌲Location: Camp Sequoia at Sequoia Park and Camp Cooper at the Cooper Gulch Recreation Center
🌲When: Camp starts June 15th and runs until August 14th. Camp is held Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM each day. Camp will be closed Friday, June 19th and Friday, July 3rd in recognition of holidays.

Financial aid is still available! Qualified families can receive 100% fee reduction scholarships while funds remain. Eureka Community Services also accepts Changing Tides.

👯‍♀️🌟🎇 Toddler Creative Movement Dance Classes! The Adorni Center is offering toddler class at the Adorni center! Come dance with Michaele aka “Sparkle” and let your little ones get some energy out. 👯‍♀️🌟🎇

🌟New sessions available Monthly!
🎇Toddler class will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm-5pm.
🌟Next class dates June 2-25th.
🎇Classes are located at the Adorni Center 1011 Waterfront Drive, Eureka.
🌟Ages 2-5.
🎇Fees: $40 resident’s $43 non-residents.
